Shinrin Yoku was developed in Japan during the 1980's , 'Shinrin' means Forest and 'Yoku' bath, so the term 'Forest Bathing'. No swim suits
are needed in this gentle opportunity to indulge our senses in the forest atmosphere. Guided walks are slow paced and meditative and have proven medical benefits - just two hours of Shinrin Yoku has been shown to:
Benefit our immune systems by increasing our Natural Killer (NK) cells
Lower our cortisol levels reducing stress
Help with depression, anger, low mood and fatigue
Lower blood pressure
Due to COVID-19 our walks have, unfortunately, been suspended at the National Trust site Foxbury https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/foxbury
